Linux | Private Cloud | Docker | Security | Hybrid
Don’t build on someone else’s cloud. Build a platform that’s at the heart of everything.
There are some IT environments where your main job is to clear out tickets. And there are environments where you get to decide what the platform will look like in two years.
This is one of those places.
You’ll be joining a lean organization with ambitious technical goals. We operate a fully private platform that provides 24/7 support to thousands of locations. Availability, security, and reliability aren’t just buzzwords—they’re our daily reality.
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who can provide a clear overview, take ownership, and is energized by making a complex infrastructure smarter, more stable, and more future-proof.
Why This Position Is Different
You won’t be joining an organization where everything is already set in stone. Quite the opposite. There are some wonderful technical challenges waiting for you.
You’ll have the freedom to improve processes, set up smarter monitoring, further professionalize security, implement automation, and take the platform to the next level of maturity. Ideas don’t get stuck in a backlog for months here; good solutions are implemented quickly.
You’re the kind of person who not only sees that something can be done better, but also makes sure it actually happens.
Your technical playing field
In your day-to-day work, you’ll be dealing with, among other things:
- Linux
- Docker & Containers
- Private Cloud
- Virtual Machines
- RDS / Terminal Services
- OpenVPN & IPsec
- SIEM & Syslog
- ELK Stack
- Video and Hardware Integrations
- Networking, Security, and Monitoring
What will you do?
You are responsible for the stability, availability, and further development of the platform.
Among other things, that means:
- further professionalizing the infrastructure;
- Take monitoring, logging, and security to the next level;
- analyze and systematically solve complex technical problems;
- Support developers with platform-related issues;
- contribute ideas regarding architecture and future expansions;
- Coaching and mentoring a junior Platform Engineer;
- take the initiative to make processes smarter and more efficient.
You’ll have a lot of freedom to set your own direction in this area.
Who are we looking for?
You are an experienced Platform Engineer, Linux Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or DevOps Engineer who likes to take ownership. You spot areas for improvement before others do.
You enjoy helping a junior colleague grow, and you’re just as willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in when needed.
In addition, you have:
- several years of experience with complex Linux platforms;
- experience with virtualization and container technology;
- knowledge of networking and security;
- experience with monitoring, logging, and platform management;
- Excellent command of the Dutch language.
What do you get in return?
- A key role in a technically challenging environment.
- Significant influence on the technical price trend.
- Working with modern technology within a fully private cloud environment.
- An organization with short lines of communication and quick decision-making.
- Hybrid work (about 2 days in the office, 3 days from home).
- Plenty of opportunities for personal development, training, and certifications.
- A competitive salary that reflects your experience.
Who is this the next step for?
For engineers who want more than just operations. For people who love to build, improve, and automate. For professionals who want to make a difference in an environment where technology takes center stage, ideas are valued, and you have a visible impact on a platform that must be available around the clock.
Does this sound like you? If so, we’d love to meet you.
