We are seeking candidates who are open to joining the client’s organization after a 1-year deployment period (1080 hours).
The role:
As a test automation engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary Scrum team where you work with colleagues to ensure and improve the quality of complex application systems. Within the team, you are responsible for risk-based testing and for improving, optimizing, and expanding the existing test set in Robot Framework. The Scrum team consists of various disciplines (developers, analysts, and administrators) with whom you work closely. You are familiar with T-shaped working. Your responsibilities include:
- writing test scripts based on requirements (in consultation with analysts) using test design techniques, which you convert into automated Robot Framework test scripts;
- reviewing existing test code as a specialist and optimizing it, with maintainability being a key factor;
- running scripts in a CI/CD pipeline on the test and acceptance environment;
- analyzing and discussing findings (in collaboration with developers);
- applying clean code principles as a test automation engineer;
- contributing to software development from your role’s perspective.
Required experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in automated testing,
including at least 1 year of Back-End testing;
- HBO/WO (Bachelor’s/Master’s) level of work and thinking;
- TMAP and/or ISTQB certified;
- experience with test strategies and test design techniques;
- Experience working in teams, preferably in an agile environment;
- experience with and knowledge of Robot Framework, experience with Python is a plus;
- Robot Framework Certified Professional is a plus;
- experience with Azure DevOps is a plus;
- Excellent command of the Dutch language, both written and verbal.
