The role:

As a test automation engineer, you will become part of a multidisciplinary Scrum team where you work with colleagues to ensure and improve the quality of complex application systems. You are responsible within the team for risk-based testing and for improving, optimizing, and expanding the existing test set in Robot Framework. The Scrum team consists of various disciplines (developers, analysts, and administrators) with whom you work closely. You are familiar with T-shape working. This is what you will do:

  • based on the requirements, you write (in consultation with the analysts) test scripts based on test design techniques, which you process into automated Robot Framework test scripts;
  • as a specialist, you review the existing test code and optimize it, with maintainability being an important factor;
  • you run the scripts in a CI/CD pipeline in the test and acceptance environment;
  • you analyze and discuss findings (in collaboration with the developers);
  • as a test automation engineer, you apply clean code principles;
  • you contribute to the development of the software from your role.

What experience do you bring:

  • At least 2 years of work experience in automated testing,

of which at least 1 year with Back-End testing;

  • an HBO/WO working and thinking level;
  • TMAP and/or ISTQB certified;
  • experience with test strategies and test design techniques;
  • Experience working in a team, preferably in an agile environment;
  • experience with and knowledge of Robot Framework, experience with Python is a plus;
  • Robot Framework Certified Professional is a plus;
  • experience with Azure DevOps is a plus;
  • Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
